Full complement cylindrical roller bearings have massive inner and outer rings. By using the largest possible number of rollers, it was possible to achieve maximum radial loads with relatively small dimensions. Moreover, these bearings are very stiff.
As the friction between the rollers has increased due to the changed kinematic conditions, full complement cylindrical roller bearings have a much lower permissible rotational speed than caged cylindrical roller bearings.
