HIWIN Technologies Corp was established in 1989 with the acquisition of the two above-mentioned production plants.

HIWIN is considered the first company in the world capable of producing the highest class of accuracy recognized by the ISO and DIN systems. Also, currently only a small number of enterprises have the ability to produce the highest accuracy class - JIS grade 0 (0.0035mm/300mm). HIWIN also produces JIS class 5 (0.018/300mm) tolerance helical ball screw gears. Currently, the company's production facilities include six production plants in Taiwan and one in Germany.
