LOCTITE® SI 5910 is a low strength FIP sealant designed for use on flexible flanges, machined or cast surfaces (metal or plastic). It is suitable for gaps up to 1 mm (0.039"), reaching 2.75 mm (0.108") after 24 hours of cure. Typical applications include stamped sheet metal covers (timing covers and oil pans). Its thixotropic properties reduce the migration of the liquid product after application to the substrate, enabling reliable quality control, e.g., in automatic dispensing systems as well as in manual applications.
