How does the transport belt joining process work?
The belt welding technology is primarily used for round and flat polyurethane (PU) belts. This reliable and efficient belt splicing method consists of three key steps:
- The belt ends are precisely trimmed to ensure a perfect match.
- Both ends, aligned with high accuracy, are placed in a clamp and heated to approx. 200°C for about 10–30 seconds to prepare the material for bonding.
- After heating, the belt ends are firmly pressed together and cooled for 3–5 minutes, creating a strong, almost seamless PU weld.

As part of our belt joining service, we provide custom, made-to-order production based on individual customer requirements. We join belts up to 150 mm in width, with no limitations regarding the final length after welding.
