The new SKF stainless steel deep groove ball bearings from the Food Line series meet all food safety requirements. The bearing inner and outer rings, rolling elements, cage and seal reinforcement plate are manufactured from stainless steel, providing high corrosion resistance in virtually any food and beverage production environment. The synthetic rubber mixture used for seals meets the requirements of category 3 of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Community (EC). In addition, the bearings are factory filled with food-grade grease, which is classified by NSF as category H1.

High temperature deep groove ball bearings are ideal for bakery applications, behaving optimally at temperatures up to 350°C thanks to a one-piece pure graphite crown cage that withstands extreme temperatures. The basket design ensures sufficient ball-to-cage contact to produce a fine powder. This powder coats the rolling elements, eliminating metal-to-metal contact in the bearing and the need for constant relubrication. As a result, costs are reduced and production downtime is reduced.

SKF Food Line Beverage compact assemblies (Food Line series for beverage production) are an ideal solution for applications requiring high load capacity but compact housing, which is typical for conveyors in the beverage industry. Designed with a smaller bolt pattern, these bearing units feature relubrication-free SKF bearings, highly effective seals and grease with excellent performance.
