The SKF Food Line range of bearings is also available with advanced Solid Oil technology. Solid Oil is a polymer matrix saturated with lubricating oil that practically fills the entire internal space in the bearing. The microporous structure in the polymer matrix holds the lubricating oil. As the polymer matrix is ​​pressed into the bearing and then hardened, a very narrow gap is formed around the rolling elements and raceways, allowing the bearing to rotate freely. Oil is sucked from the die into these gaps, ensuring continuous lubrication of the bearing. Solid Oil bearings & nbsp; are lubricated for life and contain 2 to 4 times more lubricating oil than similar filled bearings plastic grease. Solid Oil is resistant to virtually all chemicals used in cleaning processes.
